What is the VELOX Building System?
VELOX is an industrial manufacturer and supplier of high quality building systems as well as complementary products for other building systems. The building systems and complementary products can be quickly and easily processed, they are solid, durable and meet the requirements on sustainable construction.
With the mineralized timber building material VELOX brings us closer to the so-called Toronto goal reduction of – CO emissions. As VELOX is resistant to putrefaction, it 2 interrupts the natural cycle in which CO forms in wood. 2 VELOX structures therefore reduce the overall CO 2 potential and are a valuable contribution to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Wood has always been one of the basic construction materials and is still used today thanks to its unmistakable characteristics. Processed conifer round logs, wood chips, are used as a raw material for modern and environmental friendly production of woodchip-cement VELOX boards and form 89 % of their total volume. The other components are cement providing strength and cohesion of the boards and water glass solution stabilizing the boards against
humidity, mould and rodents. VELOX boards adopt the characteristics of wood and are therefore – easy to process can be cut, drilled, nailed, milled, screwed without wall plugs. Their surface porosity ensures excellent adhesion to plaster and concrete as well as Technical parameters and perfect damping properties and noise absorption.
